Certification Requirements
Microsoft offers product exams at three different proficiency levels. For entry-level certification, the candidate must pass one product proficiency exam out of the five offered; they are available for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook (www.microsoft.com). At the expert level, one year of product experience is optional and the candidate must pass either the Word Expert exam or the Excel Expert exam. For the overall master level, the candidate must pass the Word Expert, Excel Expert and PowerPoint exams, plus one additional elective exam.
There are no prerequisites for taking the exams. Students may also be eligible to apply their certification for college credits toward a bachelor’s or associate’s degree at individual colleges.
Microsoft Office certification is existing at three levels: entry-level, expert level, and master level. Certification includes passing one or more exams on a set of products included in the Microsoft Office suite. Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Master
MOS Master is the most advanced level of Office certification. It is currently available for the following Office applications (applicable product versions appear in parentheses):

To obtain a MOS Master Certificate in Word 2013 or Excel 2013, candidates must pass and pass two certification exams. All other applications only require passing a MOS Master certification exam.
